Ceremonial reception for the first generation of students who will study their undergraduate studies in English

On Monday, November 25th 2024, the Faculty of Economics organized a ceremonial reception for the first generation of students who will study their undergraduate studies in English.

Previously, the Faculty of Economics received an extension of its national accreditation in September 2023, which allowed it to enroll students in undergraduate studies that will be taught in English. The reception was organized for 21 students from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, Somalia and Esfatinia, while about 40 more students are expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

The students will attend classes according to the same study program as domestic students. All classes are taught by teachers and associates of the Faculty of Economics.

Call for enrollment in the first year of Master academic studies in English language 2024

The Faculty of Economics of the University in Kragujevac announces a Call for enrollment in the first year of MASTER ACADEMIC STUDIES in English language, for academic year 2024/2025. The Call is open for 22 students on Study Program Public financial management, who are self-financing studies. The language of the Study Program is English.

The tuition fee is 2.500 EUR for foreign citizens or RSD equivalent of 2.500 EUR at the middle exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia on the day of announcing a Call for citizens of the Republic of Serbia. Payment of the tuition should be made according to the payment instructions presented below.

The candidate can enroll undergraduate study program in Economics and business management if:

1. She/he has completed four-year undergraduate academic studies

2. She/he has passed entrance exam consisting of the Test of General Culture and an Interview

If the candidate has completed undergraduate academic studies at a faculty which belong to other scientific field than economy, she/he needs to pass Qqualification exam consisting of Test of basic economic knowledge

3. She/he possess a certificate of English language proficiency – level B2 or proof of completed language course at any level of formal education

4. She/he takes a place at ranking list within the number approved by National accreditation body

Foreign citizens enrol under the same conditions as citizens of the Republic of Serbia in terms of previous education, as per Law on Higher Education (Službeni glasnik RS, No. 88/17, 27/18 - other law, 73/18, 67/19 and 6/20 - other laws) and the general acts of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Kragujevac

 

The Call is open from September 1 2024, to November 15 2024.

 

In order to apply to the Call, foreign citizens should submit following documents:

1. Filled out application form (available at the website of the Faculty)

2. Proof of submission of original documents for recognition at the University of Kragujevac: Liceja Kneževine Srbije 1A, 34000 Kragujevac, Serbia; (more information available at https://www.kg.ac.rs/priznavanje_isprava.php?pismo=latinica)

3. Scanned passport

4. Scanned original documents on completed four-year undergraduate academic studies, translated in Serbian by a certified translator

5. Certificate of English language proficiency – level B2 or proof of completed language course at any level of formal education

6. Proof of payment of 150 EUR for the costs of the entrance exam, according to the payment instructions presented below. If candidate needs to take Qualification exam, she/he must submit proof of payment of 150 EUR for the costs of the Qualification exam as well.

After submitting the documents, the candidate will receive an application number, with instruction to access the online account for taking Entrance exam and if necessary Qualification exam.

In order to apply to the Call, citizens of the Republic of Serbia should submit following documents:

1. Filled out application form (available at the website of the Faculty)

2. Original diploma for completed four year undergraduate academic studies (for inspection)

3. Photocopies of previously mentioned diploma

4. Birth certificate

5. Proof of payment of 18.000 RSD for the costs of the entrance exam, according to the payment instructions presented below.

The photocopies of the documents which are submitted for inspection do not need to be certified. After submitting the documents, the candidate will receive an application number, with instruction to access the online account for taking Test.

The candidates need to submit the required documentation to apply to the Call in the time that will be previously designated. They can do it in person, on working days, from 10AM to 1PM at the Faculty of Economics University of Kragujevac, Liceja Kneževine Srbije 3, 34000 Kragujevac, Serbia, or by e-mail, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with notation “Documentation for enrolling undergraduate studies in English language” in subject field.

 

Entrance exam and ranking

The entrance exam consists of the Test of General Culture and an Interview. The Test consists of 30 questions with four possible answers, out of which only one is correct. Each correct answer gives candidate one point. The Test will be held online at the platform provided by Faculty, on a previously designated time date and time. Candidates will be informed about the exact time at least 5 days in advance. Instructions for access to the platform and taking Test will be given to candidates upon registering their documentation for enrollment. This page will offer students a book of potential questions for the Test, as well as the opportunity to take trial Test few days before the real one. Interview consists of motivation letter provided by students in electronic form on designated time. The candidates who needs to pass Qualification exam take test which consists of 15 questions with four possible answers, out of which only one is correct. Each correct answer gives candidate one point. To pass, candidate needs 10 or more correct answers. The Test will be held online at the platform provided by Faculty, on a previously designated time date and time.

The ranking of the candidates are determined by the points achieved at the Test of General Culture and on Interview. Maximum number of points on both steps of entrance exam is 30. The rankings of the candidates are determined by summing the average grades the candidate achieved in allfour grades of high school (maximum number of points is 40) and at the Test of General Culture and Interview (maximum number of points is 60). The maximum number of points a candidate can achieve is 100. The preliminary ranking list of candidates will be published both on website of the Faculty and its bulletin board on. The Qualification exam does not affect the position on ranking lists, but rather gives pass/did not pass score.

The candidates may file a complaint to the Enrollment Committee on the regularity of the entrance exam or her/his place on ranking list within 24 hours from the publication of the ranking list. At the proposal of the Enrollment Committee, the Dean decides on the complaint, within 24 hours of the moment of its reception.

The final ranking list of candidates which will serve as a basis for the enrollment will be published both on website of the Faculty and its bulletin board.

 

Enrollment of candidates

Enrollment of candidates into study program will be conducted in the premises of Faculty of Economics in time that will be announced on the webiste of the Faculty and its bulletin board. A candidate who does not enrol by the set deadline will be considered to have given up enrollment.

In order to enroll this study program, foreign citizen should submit following documents:

  1. Original documents on completed four-year undergraduate academic studies, as well as the decision on their recognition by the University of Kragujevac, which can be submitted before the start of the academic year;
  2. Two identical 35x45mm photos;
  3. Certificate of payment tuition fee (first instalment): 1.250 EUR, according to payment instructions presented below;
  4. Certificate of residence issued by the Ministry of Interior in Belgrade, Department for Foreigners, Savska Ulica 35, 11000 Belgrade;
  5. Health insurance certificate, issued by Department for Foreign Insurance, Nemanjina 30, 11000 Belgrade, or by any other private insuracne company.

In order to enrol this study program, citizens of the Republic of Serbia should submit following documents:

  1. Four-year undergraduate academic studies diploma;
  2. Two identical 35x45mm photos;
  3. Certificate of payment tuition fee (first instalment): RSD equivalent of 1.250 EUR at the middle exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia on the day of announcing a Call, according to payment instructions presented below.

Upon enrollment, student signs a study contract with the Faculty of Economics University of Kragujevac. All student will receive student book and appropriate SV form to fill.

2024-2025 ACADEMIC YEAR CALENDAR

WINTER SEMESTER

  • The reception for first-year undergraduate students will be held on October 14th, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
  • Lectures for the first-year students start on October 14th, 2024, and end on January 31st, 2025.
  • There are no designated weeks for midterm exams (tests) in English language lectures. Midterm exam (test) dates are arranged between the professors and the students.
  • There will be no lectures or exam activities on December 16th, 2024. December 16th is Faculty Day.

 

SUMMER SEMESTER

  • Lectures for the first-year students start on March 3rd, 2025, and end on June 13th, 2025.
  • There are no designated weeks for midterm exams (tests) in English language lectures. Midterm exam (test) dates are arranged between the professors and the students.

 

EXAM PERIODS

  • January exam period: February 3rd, 2025 – February 14th, 2025.

Call for enrollment in the first year of undergraduate academic studies in English language 2024

The Faculty of Economics of the University in Kragujevac announces a Call for enrollment in the first year of UNDERGRADUATE ACADEMIC STUDIES in English language, for academic year 2024/2025. The Call is open for 70 students on study program Economics and business management, who are self-financing studies. The language of the study program is English.

The tuition fee is 2.300 EUR for foreign citizens or RSD equivalent of 2.300 EUR at the middle exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia on the day of announcing a Call for citizens of the Republic of Serbia. Payment of the tuition should be made according to the payment instructions presented below.

The candidate can enroll undergraduate study program in Economics and business management if:

1. She/he has completed four-year high school program

2. She/he has passed entrance exam consisting of the Test of General Culture and an Interview

Partnership with Sekvoja trade LLC

In September 2023, the Faculty of Economics obtained accreditation for study program of undergraduate academic studies Economics and Business Management in English. In order to promote the Faculty on the international education market, on March 15, 2024, a contract was signed with Sekvoja Trade LLC from Belgrade. It is a company that has been successfully operating in this industry for several years in the Republic of Serbia and thanks to which a large number of foreign students have started their education here. The company has already demonstrated its experience in bringing students to the University of Kragujevac during the promotion of the Faculty of Medical Sciences. Through the partnership with the company Sekvoja Trade, the Faculty expects to enroll the first group of foreign students during this summer.
